Therapy
I see my clients online for the time being. I offer one-on-one therapy and family therapy (typically in support of my adolescent clients). I use many different therapy modalities including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Family Systems. I believe that much of our underlying mental health disorders are caused by trauma (big or small) from childhood and the emotion we hold inside that feels scary, vulnerable, and difficult to express. I look at each client through a bio-psycho-social lens and also consider attachment wounds and how those affect us. I bring a positive mindset to therapy with care and understanding for each unique individual. I always believe there is hope.
Coaching
I was certified as a coach in the early 2000s at The Coaches Training Institute. Coaching differs from therapy in that it solely focuses on the present and future, not the past. Together with my clients, we set goals, create outcomes, and manage change. I help you discover, clarify, and achieve your goals. In the past, my coaching clients tended to fall into these categories:
Separation and divorce
Business/work focused
Healthy communication
Parenting/child development
Adolescents/young adults with big goals and dreams or who feel stuck
Finding meaning in life
